Collaboration Stories

Collaboration Stories

We are meeting the European partners on February 10th – February 12th.

One of the things that we have been asked to do is to talk about collaboration that has come up as a result of membership of CreativeD.

If there is anything that you can pass on to us by way of co-operation and collaboration with other members of CreativeD, please do and we will share the stories with the European partners.

It would be great if you could let us know by the end of this week and we can showcase the successes of CreativeD.

Thanks

I think it would be interesting for everyone to see the stories that are emerging so I suggest using the site, but if there is any reason that anyone would prefer to they can mail info@creatived.ie.

Thanks,

Hi,
myself and another photographer, Patrick Bolger, had a detailed and interesting conversation over the phone about pricing which was very helpful to me. Meeting up at the Creative D event the previous week made it easier to discuss this type of confidential business information.

That's great Kate, thanks,

I was never a big believer in networking groups until I joined Creative D. I have experienced ones like BNI etc before, all of which never proved beneficial or rewarding due to the line of business I am in. With Creative D its different. You get the experience of meeting with like minded entrepreneurs and business owners who all fall under the same industry umbrella - Creativity.

I have managed to attend all but one of the networking events and have come away with something each and every time. Even if it is not straight away certain projects or ideas have occurred that have lead me back to members of Creative D. At an event before Christmas I spoke about a project in the area of Medical 3D that my business has been researching and developing. I was overwhelmed with the help and contacts that people were willing to share. I was put in touch with a leading figure in the medical insurance industry (oliver Tattan) by Paul Byrne from Ulster bank. I was also put me in touch with Seamus Breslin from Spec Savers who has subsequently put me in touch with other important contacts. All these introductions and subsequent meetings have proved beneficial in some way to our ongoing project.
Another example of how Creative D has inadvertently played a part in my business life is through a guest speaker at a collaborative event with members of other DCEB networking groups just before Christmas. The guest speaker was Fiona Ashe who is a TV producer/director and about to embark on a brand new challenging project of directing a new film "The Go Giver" I have since been in touch and met with Fiona in relation to a TV series that both myself and my wife are trying to get green lit. I thought of Fiona when we were looking for an executive producer for our show. She has been an amazing source of help and inspiration that I probably would never had met if it wasn't for Creative D.

Sometimes the hardest thing in business is getting to speak with the right people. But somebody always knows somebody that can either help, give advice or even give you business. That has certainly born true with my experience so far with Creative D - sign me up for another year!!!!
