Councillor Gerry Breen elected Lord Mayor of Dublin


Fine Gael Councillor Gerry Breen was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin at the Annual Meeting of Dublin City Council. Councillor Breen represents the Clontarf Ward in the North Central Area and was first elected to the City Council in 1999. 

Fine Gael Councillor Edie Wynne was elected Deputy Lord Mayor. Councillor Wynne was co-opted onto the Council on 1st October 2007 to replace former Councillor Brian Gillen, and retained her position following her election in 2009. Councillor Wynne represents the Rathmines Ward in the South East Area.
